Hi Tom. It appears from looking at the illustrations from Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons, that the Left Hand V points at the Right Eye, and the Trail Hand V points toward the Chin. Both hands have the Thumbs on the edge of the club. Am I correct that your videos are in harmony with Hogan? Your videos seem a little bit different. I need to get this straightened out.

Grips are fun to experiment with...doesn't take much to see different ball flights provided the swings are consistent during the experiments. I might add that ball position (distance away and position on the grid) also needs to be consistent. Otherwise there's too many moving parts.
Thank you for sharing, Tom. I am going back to 2.0 Lessons and revamp. I think my grip is okay but need to review. It seems much of hand grips by Instructors/Players is correcting ball pathways and all I want is the Fundamentals. And, I have seen the videos which create more confusion than the right way.
Remember, Mr. Hogan's book probably should have been titled "How I Eliminated the Left Side of the Golf Course" 😎 He had some significant hooking issues previously, and that weak grip is one of the measures he deployed to eliminate them and become one of the all-time greats. Where he and I agree is that the thumbs should rest slightly off-center on top of the handle - the lead thumb to the trail side of center, and the trail thumb to the lead side of center. On the other hand (so to speak), I teach a grip that is in the fingers, whereas Mr. Hogan had the handle running diagonally from the crook of his lead forefinger to the pad of the palm. Again, this was in support of his weak anti-hook grip. Finally, the grip I prefer is a neutral one with the V's parallel and pointing generally towards the trail ear. There's obviously leeway in this regard for personal preference, and as always you should let your impact condition and ball flight be your guide.
