Another great reminder @Tom Saguto . I started this journey about 1.5 ago of golf, love it, great exercise. I've had other post talking about the hip bump "yes or no" "weight forward or no at address", etc.... My searching and asking these type questions is not to question your teaching or even the "S/T" swing. Being a lefty my lead leg is my right leg. That leg has had 3 surgery's over the years, nothing serious, clean up mostly. So I've toyed with no hip bump and no weight forward just to keep the extra pressure off that lead leg.
I found IF I closely follow the "S/T" method, specifically this video, that I experience NO soreness in my lead leg. Key being to bend the leg in it's natural way in a straight manner verses bending the knee in a "inside kinda collapsed motion". So extend your core and bend the knee naturally and you can achieve KFC contact, pain free. I love that sound too.
