Hi there. First time post. I am really struggling with control of the club due to my right hand "falling off" as I come down from the top of the backswing. I am trying to keep the right hand on top, as I have historically had a tendency to let it slip to the side or under. I am playing with midsize grips. Any advice? I've seen the few videos on the site, but they don't quite address my problem.

@tgreen197 - More than likely it's not your grip size. By the way, there aren't many "standard" golfers out there. Take from someone who has spent money on grips when that was not the issue. Err on the big side.
If your right hand is coming loose, it's because your brain is telling it to. Tom has good suggestions here. I would also suggest making sure you're not swinging over the top and/or your right elbow is not getting "behind you" on the backswing.
Thanks Tom. I keep bouncing between mid size and standard grips, but I think midsize fits better. I have not been maintaining the pressure point of the palm of my right hand on top of the left thumb joint. That is where my grip keeps breaking down. I'll try the coin or tee and see if that help. Thanks!
Welcome to this great members forum community, @tgreen197!!
With regard to your issue, my first question would be whether your midsize grips are properly fitted for you? If so, then is the club secured in the fingers of both hands without creating any tension in the arms? Finally, are you maintaining the pressure point of the palm of your right hand pushing down on the top thumb joint of your left hand? If not you can place a tee or a coin on that joint and work on keeping it in place for the duration of the swing.
Hope that helps.
