Is belt buckle reference just for height of shaft? If I place hand inside thigh it no longer points to belt buckle and leads to more open face. What am I doing wrong?
@Anthony Lenoir - Replace the phrase belt buckle with belt line. When Tom says point the club at your belt buckle, he's is referring to the up and down angle of the shaft (from a side view). This is so the club travels on the proper path.
When Tom talks about the inside thigh (from the front view), he is talking about presetting the forward shaft lean. The only way to hit the ball and then the ground is to have the hands leading the club head at impact.

Hope this clears it up!
