I have a quick question. When I first experimented with Stack and Tilt I preset my hip turn at address. I thought I watched a video on YouTube that also talked about playing this way. I have been trying to learn the swing without the preset hip turn and my swing has had some problems lately. Tom, what are the negative aspects of playing with a preset hip turn instead of trying to coordinate it during my back swing? Is there a power loss? If you can post a link to the a lesson or video that talks about playing this way I would appreciate it. Thanks.

This preset hip turn is talked about in the seniors and limited mobility section. I've been doing this for quite some time now. It's Jim Venetos that is an advocate for this, that's how I got into doing it. It's excellent for good ball striking especially with short irons where power is not really the goal as much. It quiets the lower body and keeps weight forward for the entire swing and maintains the low point of the swing being just after the ball.
