As Tom said that is what I do also. But on occasion if I want to stay with a selected iron(usually when hitting longer ones off the tee), I might tee it up a bit higher and plan to hit up on it getting a higher launch for a softer landing. This has worked for my 2 & 3 Iron Crossover.
Ahh... I understand what you are saying, but in the interest of nipping unintentional yet potential "scandal" to the swing system in the bud, there is no part of my instruction that encourages "hitting up on the ball"..... 😎
It's a matter of personal preference, Tom. If I'm teeing up an iron I'll set the ball just barely off the ground. In doing so no adjustments need to be made. It's just a normal iron swing with the ball in a "preferred lie".

My little tweak for my game.
