I am working through the setup positions and I have a question. When you put additional body weight on your forward leg what position should your upper body be in. Tilted along with the weight shift or some other position. I am confused about this step.
Thanks. Mike
Revelation! After practicing the 90% weight forward drill for a couple of days I took it to the course and discovered that I could not only play good golf that way but was hitting more shots cleaner and straighter, especially with the driver. I now set up with about 70% weight forward (following the S and T rule of ball position of 1 club length back from the left foot and adjusting my stance to the club by moving the right foot back) and this has taken my game to a new level. With that much weight forward at setup its almost impossible for your torso to shift the weight back and stand up at impact, a habit I often experienced which leads to slices, hooks and topping. Your body just won't let you make this mistake in that forward position! Its so elegant and self righting! Kudos to Tom and the S and T method!
