I was wondering what the distribution of weight should be in regards to the balls and heels of the feet? I find my self leaning a bit forward in the swing so maybe 75% of my weight is on the front of my feet. But should it be more of a even balance with a more flat footed ?

I might add that if I start with my weight forward, towards my toes, my weight will shift to my heels on the backswing. Conversely, if my weight is more towards my heels, I tend to move towards my toes on the downswing. Then there's side hill lies.
Either of these "forward / back" movements throw off my swing. Imagine setting up a machine to hit and the balance is such that the machine can randomly move forward or back during a the machine's swing. We would never be sure where the ball will be hit, or the low point of the swing arc.

You should be balanced between heel and toe in both feet. This balance is achieved by first setting your knees over the toes (or at least over the toe end of your shoelaces) to activate the ground connection, and then pushing your butt out to incline the hips and chest so that a relationship with the ball is established. This will put you in a solid, stable athletic posture and ready for action.
