Hello, what exercise must be done so that the 2 arms remain connected to the thorax (half of the polo sleeve) during the backswing. When I complete my swing, I see on video that my right arm is disconnected from the body and that my stick is above the right shoulder instead of the middle of the bicep. This situation prevents the shoulders from rotating freely and thus there is less swing speed. thanks,
Richard M
What works for me is my arms and elbows together and then turn my shoulders, I try to feel pushing my right shoulder behind right ear to get a full shoulder turn. The lead arm is crossed my chest. My right arm folds on its own and my lead arm and hands are almost level with my right shoulder.
I believe that Toms suggestion to create better ball striking is keeping the lead arm across your chest. This helps keep my swing compact and easy to repeat.
But none of this will work unless your weight is forward throughout your swing. This too helps you be more connected and have a more connect swing. Hope this helps keep it in the short grass!
