Long time listener, first time caller here 😀
I've really been gravitating to the tailbone to target drill as a way to ensure appropriate swing path on the downswing. It seems to me if you think about just rotating your tailbone over your lead-side heel everything else is automatic - so your rear-end kind of 'drives' your backswing, hip turn and shoulders. Was curious your thoughts on this level of simplicity @Tom Saguto ?
thanks!
That's why I refer to it as the "grail" of the golf swing, David! I think @GolfLivesMatter summed it up quite well in the comment thread that you just "bumped" (as you said). Beyond the tailbone to target lesson in the school, the Hogan's Hips YT episode provides a nice general analysis of this move. And yes - you really can build your swing on it.
