Ok, I have came to Tom's S&T swing from a long line of sway, lift, tilt, and time (AKA the modern golf swing) as a left hander who plays right handed. I have been watching Tom's videos about the trail arm and Tom discusses how many people (including myself who is left hand dominant) has a tendency to pull with that lead arm. Am I at a huge disadvantage with trail arm "dexterity" issues? I always wonder if that is why I have struggled with really good ball striking? I have played good golf in the past, but struggled some with Tom's swing drills specifically getting 2.8-2.9 to feel more natural. Just looking for feedback!

Hi @Skyler Nicholas - A downswing initiator move that serves me quite well is getting the lead arm off the chest. I suppose that would be similar to your "left arm puller" feel, but you may just need to tidy it up. And no - that is not a disadvantage. (As a side note, I'm "goofy ambidextrous" in that I throw and golf right handed, eat and write left handed, and I was a baseball switch hitter. 😵) Check out both parts of this Downswing lesson from the Get Out and Go Play program and see if that helps.
