I can feel the clubhead align with hands at last parallel (delivery position)... in contrast I can feel the club head when over plain (over my hands) or under plain (under my hands) at this point.
It's not something I've ever heard about, and I guess I want to make sure it won't cause issues down the road. If it's all good, are there any videos that expand on this awareness?
Will do, and I appreciate the insight as always Tom! I think the awareness is coming from the literal countless hours I've spent front of my swing cameras haha
Yes, i believe you are both interpreting what i’m trying to say correctly. It’s the feel of the club head as it’s moving through the space of the swing plane in the downswing. i’m just looking for guidance on if this is something i should be focused on. What i’m gathering from both of you is that it’s fine as long as i’m not trying to manipulate the club head to hit the positions, Correct? Which hits on my fear of focusing on that awareness.
Not sure I fully understand your question, @Kyle S. Are you saying that your are able to feel where the clubhead is during its final approach to the ball? If so, then I don't see how that could possibly be a bad thing in terms of being able to read your ball flight and - using your feel - self-correcting the path as necessary. Do not interpret this as my suggesting that you should manipulate the club with your hands, but instead that you reverse engineer to get to the root cause if - for example - the club approaches from above the plane.
As I regularly say, let your ball striking and shot shape be your guide!
