So we all want to see those sexy crispy chicken hits but I have a problem of looking to soon. So making me lift my head so I top the ball a lot because of this. Any drills on fixing this?
@ehudpower - While forcing your head to stay in place can work, it would be most helpful to look upstream in your swing to find the true culprit. So often we'll hear golfers say that they didn't keep their head down or that they looked up too soon, where in actuality it was something in the downswing that cause the upper torso - and head - to rise up prematurely. Consider for example the premature straightening of the trail arm (casting or early extension). The club is going to slam into the ground behind the ball if the body doesn't raise up, so instinctively that's what the golfer does and the head goes with it. Video will help you identify the true cause, and then you can attack that through proper drilling as opposed to putting a band aid on the symptom.
By the way and as a side note, going forward any swing-specific questions should be posted to the Community in the new platform.
