I've been seeing a little bit of a pattern lately in my game. With driver, fairway woods, and longer irons, my miss tends to be an over-draw to the left. But I know how to correct and adjust.
But with my shorter irons, maybe pitching wedge on down, I am tending to block them out to the right. Any idea what the cause might be? Ball position, alignment, lie angle?
Thanks I hit my wedges to the left going to try the grid
@bh11 - When you are confident that the swing is working at least somewhat correctly and the downswing path is approaching properly from the inside, then it's always best to try the simple setup tweaks before making any kind of swing intervention. In this case it may be something as simple as the ball position being too far back with the wedges. I suggest you start by nudging the ball position forward in small increments and monitor impact and ball flight with each adjustment. Also, I highly recommend that you learn the Shot Shaping Grid as this will help you to: 1) read and interpret ball flight for diagnostic purposes, 2) understand how to make adjustments/corrections, and 3) learn how to carve shots in both directions.
Beyond this, use video often to confirm that your swing is behaving properly.
