Nice job with this one @Tom Saguto Great timing on the amount of hip bump and movement forward. Less than one would think since we preset hip forward at address.
No change in philosophy, @kevin. Remember that when I produce a video for the masses I may not be speaking specifically to you or an issue that you are experiencing. In this particular case I'm addressing those folks who have built in too much active lateral hip action, and too much of a good thing does have its consequences. Using your example, if you've already got your tailbone moving sufficiently towards the target during the backswing, then you don't need much more than a little bump to properly set the downswing in motion, and the remaining lateral motion will likely happen on autopilot. In that scenario any effort to actively add more lateral hip action will produce diminishing returns.
Echo that a Real eye opener for me. Of course I’m not doing it but it may explain my many overeager draws and pushes. Also trying to keep that pronounced wedge shape with the lead wrist seems to put a hell of a strain on the forearm but eliminatIngrams some of the forward bump makes it feel easier. Haven’t really tried it properly though.
got it, thanks.
@Tom Saguto Have you changed your philosophy slightly regarding the hip bump from active to passive based on tailbone position?
