Hey guys, trying to get rid of the flip but I’m noticing two things. I approach the ball with a flat wrist and handle leading, but can’t seem to get any height on the shot. Just scuries on the ground or if I get it ball first it’s like 3 feet high. I also feel no speed Or release through the shot. Any thoughts here? @danny @Buford T Ogletree

Agree with Buford. Sometimes when you suspect a flip your reaction is to keep your wrist more stable, but often that means you don't let them naturally set so you lose a lot of speed.
Also, beware the fake shoulder turn!
So, I think that the key to all of this is, the proper setup and then its all about the "tailbone to target" instruction. If you can set up, get that weight forward, whether you pre-set it, or get it there in the backswing (which feels really great!), and keep your head really set throughout the swing, then the tailbone to target is the goal. I believe this is the progression. Get that setup down, learn what if feels like to keep your head still, then its all about the tailbone to target. It's such a weird feeling! I can get it going in short bursts but, I can't keep it throughout a round yet. Sometimes I can't find it at all during a round.
But if you can get these 3 things, you don't have to think about anything else, your just concerned with the setup, keep your head in place, (this automatically gets your shoulders doing the right thing) and get that tailbone moving toward the target. All those other thoughts are gone because this gets all that working correctly! It's so weird that it can be so effortless and give you such power and distance... it's an oxymoron! All I know is that, when I get these things tied together, ball flight is insane! Really high, really long, really satisfying! Sometimes my ball position is off and the ball flies left but, even when you start left and draw into the tree line, your still satisfied with the ball flight! I'm happy to get the ball flight and miss my target by 20 yards left. I figure, you can't fix ball flight issues if you don't have consistent ball flight!
Try and work on the big things and see if the little things start sorting themselves out! forget wrists and flipping and shoulders, etc... think, set, done, getting the club away from the ball correctly, done, fire the hips! It's simple but, it needs to be engrained. That's the difficult part. Doubt is our biggest hurdle!

It may not be the flip. Video yourself and make sure you’re turning your shoulders down enough. I went through that for a while. My ball flight was killing moles, gophers and low flying pigeons. As it turned out my shoulders were levelling out on my backswing. Another possibility is ball position. That caused me a few issues as well. Tom noticed it on a V1 session. I had it too far forward and I was hitting it thin.
