So after weeks of practicing, looking at Toms swing, putting myself in the same position,
I finally found my mistake! My over the top move is not a faulty big body motion,
it was so simple. for some reason at the top of the swing I looked close to Toms position, but I had a over the top move that put my club vertical like i was holding a flag.
My bad move at the top was unloading my right wrist , if you stand with club in the backswing and just uncurl your right wrist the club will stand right up!
So I am just practicing holding the angle all the way to impact, Just like tom has said, "I know", but until careful examination of my swing I could not see it! after years of over the top swinging i think i had a breakthrough!
finally, now on to the next lesson.
That's a fantastic and critically important self-discovery, @Rick Herring!! Successfully eradicating the cause of your over-the-top move will put the club in the "happy zone" and have you on the fast track towards ball striking bliss. Well done!!!
