Currently, I'm carrying a Driver and 3W then my next club is my very trusty 5i. This setup has been working for me but I'm curious if I need to shorten the gap between my 5i and 3W.
The 3W's average total yardage is 236 and my 5i is 204.
On most Par 4 holes I'll use my 5i and leave myself with a nice GW or PW into the green.
On most Par 5s I'll use the DR or 3W depending on which one is 'behaving' best that day. LOL
Should I look at adding 4i, Utility Iron or Hybrid?
Or if this is working, just don't worry about the big gap between these two clubs?
Thx!!!
7 wood! I hit mine high and about 210.
But it depends on the courses you play and the yardages you need. You've got some pretty big gaps in your wedges too.
Ah to be young and big hitter again! I haven't seen those distances in years! 😯😀
@bryan.p.atchison - It seems like you have room in your bag, so I'd definitely suggest bridging that gap!
Personally I’m a bit fan of the hybrid and carry a 4 myself. I don’t hit the ball as far as you but it fills the gap between my longest iron and my fairway wood, launches high and is pretty easy to hit.
