@fielddeveloper & @Steven - Since you both expressed interest I wanted to give you advance notice that I’ve just unlocked special discounts from Flightscope for SagutoGolfers who use this link for their Mevo line of launch monitors and sims. Here are the discounts:
- Get Your MEVO for 15% OFF Using Code SAGUTOGOLF
- Get Your MEVO+ and Pro Package 10% OFF Using Code SGPRO
I use the Bushnell Launch Pro outdoors, or Uneekor system at home. Both are expensive and more like the serious professional units. There are several ways to create similar videos for almost no money. I have an instagram account @cigarandgolf and if you look at our pictures/videos we use an app called shot tracer when we are playing. Super simple and cheap way to get a shot tracer video. It’s not going to give distances, but will create a nice video for ball flight. Outside of the expensive units there are several cheaper ($400-$500) launch monitors that will give you pretty much the same results. The Voice Caddie SC300I, Flightscope Mevo personal LM, Rhapsodo, or Garmin Approach R10 are all pretty good.
So, cheapest, get the app for your cell phone. Video the shot. Then use GPS app to drive out and measure shot distance.
Next option, video on phone and use personal launch monitor. $500. These LM'a are reasonable. Distance estimates.
One step up, you get into units that are $2000-$3000. Those are the units like Tom has, Mevo+ or Skytrak are two of the most popular.
Next step, it's into the professional range, they start at about $8k and will go up to $24k or so.
@fielddeveloper - I'm using a Flightscope Mevo+ with the Pro Package. The Mevo+ includes 6 golf courses for sim play and 17 virtual practice range options. While not inexpensive, the price point is a fraction of what you might pay for other professional grade launch monitors and sims.
FYI, I am in the process of working out a SagutoGolf discount arrangement with the Flightscope folks
@Russell Hogue, PhD - Any suggestions for @fielddeveloper? Thanks!
