I am going through the system and like others have stated it’s 2 or 3 steps forward and 1 step back. I go back to the perfect drill every single range session to make sure I’m still putting it all together. Recently 2 YouTube videos really put the concepts together and made it easier to understand. I still struggle with lifting and chopping on “full swings” but the video about having arms up like Hogan really helped me stay connected. It’s hard to become disconnected if you start in that position. Did I miss this detail in the lessons? Also the video about having a shorter swing similar really helped with my overall swing concept! I couldn’t figure out how when I did the perfect drill things were so crispy and beautiful but when I took a full swing (over swing from before the system). I love the system and the process. I am glad I have all the lessons in order and The community to really open my mind and keep me constantly growing. Thanks guys!

Ahhh, Cody. We share the same dilemma. A visit from the Ghost of Golf Swings Past. What happens with me is I am doing the drill and hitting crisp shots, I take it to the course, then I get complacent because I think "I finally got it!". Then I don't go through the pre-swing setup properly, shoulder plane gets a little flatter, weight not increasing to the left leg, right elbow starts doing its old thing, then here come the bad shots. Then grip pressure goes from a 4 out of 10 to 7, then 12. I don't let more than two of those shots happen before I step back, relax the shoulders, try to hold the club as loose as possible, and focus on keeping those arms connected. I have to over-exaggerate the connection so arms don't start flailing, shorten the swing, making sure my right shoulder comes under my chin on the down swing. I try to force myself to keep my chest down pointing behind the ball to stop that right shoulder coming over. It always comes back and then I kick myself for letting it happen in the first place, and tell myself the system works - operator error. Kettle One also helps in emergency situations.
