Well Springtime in the Rockies. Got an email about an hour ago (6:46 am MST), due to the fact the course got almost an inch of rain overnight walking only. A couple of issues with that especially this time of year.
1: I don't have a pull cart anymore and have a large cart bag and the course has a total of 3 pull carts for rent!
2 it's 39 degrees and damp of course. If it was warmer months different deal.
Although it will be interesting to see if enough members get out, as the league needs 50% to play for it to be a counted week. If not money rolled.
A little disappointed but plenty of golf left. And after last years final brutal rain and cold, really not running out to play in this weather and aggravate shoulders. Rain and 70's plus different story.
I may have to look into getting a smaller carry bag for situations like this that I can carry and maybe take away with me.
Any light bag suggestions?
But most likely will stick with what I have. A nice Ogio cart bag with plenty of compartments and cooler pouch. Have access to pull cart if need to borrow one. Or may pick up a cheap one just in case.
But definitely going to pickup a stiff arm for bag for when I travel to Myrtle Beach.
Bought these two recently and they are both light and great for what I purchased them for:
This Sunday bag is perfect for a trip to the driving range/practice area and par 3 courses. I am really liking both and they were very affordable.
Bummer, @Steven. Hopefully your weather breaks for good in time for next week's league play.
I went the other direction...purchased a QOD golf caddy, love to walk and tired of carrying the bag. It works great in all weather conditions that I've tested. Bonus, with the battery it only weights 29lbs and folds up very small and compact.
