Know we have conversed on this piece of tech. I have the link with system so don't have have phone in pocket. But seems to miss a lot of shots I do go back and edit. Do you know if it's a issue if you get to far from phone with link?
Can't seem to find reasonable answer on site.
Thanks
With Link, It’s truthfully been over a year since I used it. I do remember it missing some shots but not too many. I really liked being able to click the button to set flag location. Also, because Link has no gps interface I had to use my phone for gps distances anyway and so I typically checked after every hole and just added a shot during the round after every hole. Once I got used to it, I found it to work really well and the cadence of adding occasional missed shots wasn’t bad because I was already using phone for gps. The link plus phone is also great for playing courses yiu don’t know because the phone GPS lets you see distances to hazards or other obstacles. I personally switched to using the Apple Watch. I was one of their beta users for it. I found that the watch is great because then I don’t need to use the phone for anything. With the watch it gives front/middle/back. Tells you distance and “plays like” distance…even shows wind direction, etc. I love arccos with the Apple Watch. However, I also use Skycaddie gps, the SX500. When I am playing courses I don’t know, the Skycaddie makes it easy to see how far to hazards or how far do I need to hit the ball to leave a specific yardage to the green, it also makes it really easy to change pin location on green. I have found it to be so accurate with pin location I haven’t used a laser rangefinder in 2 years. When I am playing a course I am familiar with I usually use Arccos exclusively and just rely on front/middle/back distances as well as plays like distances.
