I figured out a cheap way to check ball striking . I just wanted to share these two ideas I came up with for checking divot and where contact is being made on the clubface. I don't use the foot powder sprays as I never remember to buy it at the store. What I do have is a 10 year old with a lot of sidewalk chalk.

I don't know if you guys will find this useful but it's what I have to work with and it's giving me great feedback. It helps to moisten the end of the chalk when apply the chalk to the ball.
Great stuff, @mst_hokie - thanks for sharing!! It can be difficult to sense crispy impact on a mat, so the instant visual feedback sure doe help.
Nice sweet spot, by the way!!
