Hi Tom, I have just signed up to the awesome Saguto Golf. I have been watching your youtube videos for sometime now. All I can say is fantastic content and explanation of the golf swing made easy.
I have a WHS handicap currently at 4.2, with a course handicap of 5 at my home golf club of Bromborough- UK. I would like you to take a look at my swing, as I am trying to use the stack and tilt method, which I find really works. Unfortunately after playing some decent golf and trusting my swing I seem to be getting all muddled up and find myself not trusting my swing.
About a month ago a played a round and just to give you some insight into the round
Front 9- 46
Back 9- 32, with1 bogey, 3 pars, 5 birdies, 4 on the bounce. I wasn't even thinking about position, or swing.
Can you advise please, your thoughts and feedback would be most welcome.
@robert.lowles - Were you a 4.2 before switching to S&T? Just curious why you made the switch. I will say as someone who changed from a conventional swing to S&T myself, you will need to go back to the basics and essentially start over. Start working your way through the school, don't just skip the setup videos because it is all important.
As @danny stated, Tom doesn't analyze swings on the forum, but there are plenty of members who can give their opinions. I don't know what your issues/misses are, so I'm only speaking from what I can see. Your left knee works down which is good but it also moves toward your trail foot, which is an indication that your weight is moving back. You will want to keep your weight toward the front throughout the swing.
The biggest issue I can see in the video is your arms are very active. The lead arm needs to work across the chest but not lift during the backswing. Ideally, you would see your left arm running through your right bicep at the top of the swing. I believe the main reason for your arms lifting is you are standing too close to the ball and too upright. Again, Tom's setup videos are very easy to follow and will almost instantly improve your swing.
Welcome to the forum!
Hi Robert,
Welcome to the school! Tom is away for about a week. Here is his post.
I wish I could help but, you are seriously more advanced in your golf game than I am!
I am going to look at your swing anyway!
Oh and Tom doesn't analyze videos through the forum as it would conflict with his V1 analysis system. You'd have to submit a video through the V1 app and pay for the analysis.
