Greetings, overnight temps starting to fall but rebounding nicely the next day(usually).
Last week outing was a bit brisk at tee off but warmed nicely as sun took over. Fall golf equals pealing off layers. Started with water resistant pull over long sleeve pullover over short sleeve shirt. By 6th hole pealed down to the short sleeve.
Getting out tomorrow again, very instructional playing courses I don't get out on a lot. Think it is a plus in the sense keeps you playing smart thoughtful golf. Shot a 94 last week with 3 triples! Want the scoring to come down of course and get rid of those doubles and triples but not a big concern at this point as am experimenting a bit with different shots. And to card a 94 with 3 triples says something.
Still waiting for my 2 crossover iron to come in replacing my 3 wood and 3 crossover has already replaced the 5 wood. Right now only wood carrying is the driver which is killing it! Even though am one club short in bag with woods out and 2 iron not in yet(did add 54 degree sand wedge), Keeping the woods out and sticking to the plan. Not making a big difference on the par fives, actually not true! Making a big difference in the sense I am confident in these irons and hitting my seconds on par 5's like I was hitting woods. Times are a changing!
@Tom Saguto did respond in tracking equipment post. Looking at the Mevo and Mevo + (@Russell Hogue, PhD you warned me about this earlier this year when I setup my indoor range)! Probably going to pull trigger on one of them. Did the measurements in my garage range and plenty of room. Even though plus is 4.5 times higher in price, believe that is worth the investment since can also track left or right movement and virtual courses. And has bigger potential to add to improvement of my game without me getting bored. Just think would be more prone to use more often with playing virtual over the off season.
Welcome feedback from all!
@Steven the colder weather is certainly here! It’s 29 degrees outside this morning as I sit here and write this note. Glad to hear you are out there playing. Keep it fun and crispy! 😊
Look at the last post I made about Mevo+ vs skytrak (on the other thread). Depending on your setup…each has advantages and disadvantages. Happy to help walk you through them…
You can't compare the mevo, sc300, r10 with either the Mevo plus or skytrak. Completely different level devices. For starters, the cheaper units are not simulators nor are they capable of providing 3d simulator output. They are launch monitors only.
The plus and the skytrak are real entry level launch monitors with the ability to be used as a full simulator (when connected to powerful gaming computer)....or can provide some nice capabilities with an iPad too. Again, don't compare the $500 units vs $3000 units as they have entirely different use cases.
@Steven - good you are still forging ahead. I too am modifying the club selection. Put in 3 & 4 Hybrids. Wow! What a difference in game shots and confidence booster. One has to trust the clubs or nerves and tension take over. Driver is giving me fits but hope to fix soon.
@Steven - If you can "swing it", so to speak, then I would definitely recommend the plus version. If you can wait just a little bit, let's see if the Flightscope folks and I are able to arrange for some type of discount for SagutoGolfers.
