Tom, I have finally completed the course curriculum and had my first opportunity to go to the range.
The first thing I did was to set up the grid with the alignment rods and balls, and started waist high practice swings from ball position #3 on the draw side. Started with my 7 iron to hybrid 4, 4 wood and then driver, only waist high. I then went back to the 7 iron and worked on 3/4 swings for my first range session, and was hitting about 65% crispy, which was fantastic for me. This is the weakest link in my game, and this was a fantastic start. I plan on staying at half and 3/4 swings for the next three sessions prior to moving to a full swing. Having a little problem being to quick from the top. Need a smooth transition and gradual acceleration. What are your recommendation to slow and smooth out the down swing?
By the way, Cordell, my twin brother joined, and shot a 71, one under par, last week from the senior tees.
Look forward to more range sessions to work into a full swing. I would expect a couple of months to reach that goal.
I have completed all of the courses, Golf Swing Simplified, Pitching and Chipping, Putting, Fades and Draws, Bunker Play, etc., except for the Get Out and Go Play. I am currently going through the Crispy section. I assume the Get Out and Go Play is a condensed version of the Golf Swing Simplified section. I will be working on the noted tips as soon as I can get back to the range.
