Hi
One thing i have been wondering
When you move your hands forward inside the lead thigh, does the clubface open slightly.
Right now, when i move my hands forward i try to keep the clubface square which also delofts the club a little.
Which one is the right way to do it.
The swing arc is affected by how you setup to the golf ball so if you view your chips as the same setup but a shorter swing, the same rules will apply.
If your chipping setup is different than full swing (in terms of ball position, hand position, and clubface position), you will find there to be a different swing path or face angle.
Ideal club face angle should be 1-3 degrees open at address.
Right on guys! Yes, the face opens slightly - that is the correct way.
Just to clarify, the incorrect way is when you end up delofting the clubface at address after moving your hands forward.
Hi Jari
Yes moving the hands forward opens the face slightly. This should start the ball right so it can draw back to the target line.
Tom said this in my video analysis.
