A little tongue in cheek there, but definitely in golf mode and crazy into it like I haven't been since high school days. You know back when we had real woods and feather stuffed balls! ( Well maybe balls an exaggeration, maybe)! 🤔😅
I recently purchased a green book for my home course. Know that sounds a bit crazy since I play most rounds there and should know every blade of grass there and do. But bare with me, I wanted to see if it was a beneficial asset and would add any insights. Looking at it also since I know the course well, it would give me a good idea of how truly informative this book is. For those who might not know(which I doubt on this forum), it is from Golf Logix. And now besides the green slope and heatmap of the breaks, they have tee to green slopes of the fairways and all the hole charted. Now I have Arccos which gives you a overhead real look at the hole with a host of info. And I use that for data collection and after round analysis and a Garmin for distance. But doesn't show how the fairways and hole in general flows, sloping wise. So my thought, being obsessed of late with this game, (why not, this is why I work and I have only me to spoil and my cat and she says its okay).🐱
So like I said knowing my course it would show me how good this tool would be going to an unknow course. ALA the MBWA in August and might be worth the investment for the courses I would be playing there besides having a souvenir of the experience.
Thoughts? Buhler? Buhler?
I don’t think you will find out what courses you will play in time to receive the green books.
if you find the one you have is accurate you can use it to calibrate your feet and eyes when determining the amount of slope. If you are able to do that then you can use Aimpoint Express to determine the break for any putt or chip.
I believe there are several YouTube videos on how to use Aimpoint Express.
