So my most recent revelation is that I’ve been getting the club sucked behind me on the takeaway (I think). Once I tried to fix it, it sent me into a tailspin of frustration: Toe hits, shanks, and fatties. I have a photo here Mike Bennett on the left and Charlie Wie on the right. Notice where their club heads are in relation to their hands at P-2 (I think that’s P-2). Now what I’ve been doing up until now is a lot of external forearm rotation and it looked more like Mike’s takeaway (I’m not questioning the master by no means). I was trying to get something that looks more like Charlie’s takeaway. Now I didn’t realize Mike’s takeaway looked like that until last night. I’m not sure where to go now. I was under the impression that the club head should still be in front of the hands right here.

When ever I have a problem it's all about reverting to my old swing. One problem is Arm swing. Refer back to the basics and you'll be fine.
Oh yeah, we’re gonna have fun. How can we tell if he’s a golf instructor? So logically, If he weighs the same as a duck, he is made of wood, Therefore he is a golf instructor. 🤣 Last one I swear. 😜
@Buford T Ogletree - Rather than letting it be a source of confusion, look at this instead as confirming that you have a considerable amount of leeway!! Bennett is not rolling or sucking the club to the inside. Because he keeps his trail arm so tightly connected to his torso almost down to the elbow, he "turns the corner" sooner than Charlie, who certainly keeps his upper trail arm connection intact but has a little gap between his elbow and torso at the top. Have a look at the comparison below, and beyond that...rejoice in knowing that there is an acceptable range of tolerance!!
