So my most recent revelation is that I’ve been getting the club sucked behind me on the takeaway (I think). Once I tried to fix it, it sent me into a tailspin of frustration: Toe hits, shanks, and fatties. I have a photo here Mike Bennett on the left and Charlie Wie on the right. Notice where their club heads are in relation to their hands at P-2 (I think that’s P-2). Now what I’ve been doing up until now is a lot of external forearm rotation and it looked more like Mike’s takeaway (I’m not questioning the master by no means). I was trying to get something that looks more like Charlie’s takeaway. Now I didn’t realize Mike’s takeaway looked like that until last night. I’m not sure where to go now. I was under the impression that the club head should still be in front of the hands right here.

When ever I have a problem it's all about reverting to my old swing. One problem is Arm swing. Refer back to the basics and you'll be fine.
