Hey everybody, I've been really busy and haven't played since last September. I figured it's about time to dust off the old clubs and start getting ready for springtime on the course. I picked right back up where I left off; coming over the top. Not enough to stop semi-crispy contact but just enough to cause aggravating inconsistencies. At some point while watching what my arms would look like coming in from the inside I had this swing thought. I have a tattoo on the inside of my trail forearm. So I started taking half swings thinking "Let me see that tattoo." So I'm feeling like my forearm is facing up on the downswing. I suddenly graduated to another level of crispiness. Straight high ball flight and I NEVER have hit 'em high my entire life. Not only does it get the club approaching the ball from the inside but it keeps my arms together; which every lesson I've had with Tom it's been a problem. I don't think I'm using my hips like I should but one thing at a time. I can't wait to hit the course.

@Buford T Ogletree - Nice to see you back in action on the course and in the forum!
Yes - excellent discovery. Your feel is an excellent one for putting and keeping the downswing on the proper track, and if executed properly it will definitely deliver a whole new level of crispiness and ball flight. In fact, I've thought about temporarily "tattooing" an arrow on students using a pen - or a Sharpie for the serious ones - on the inside of the trail forearm to provide that same imagery. Great job!!
I am a victim of the same mistake, trail arm bent on upswing. The tattoo imagery sounds intriguing; I'll give it a try. Thanks, Ralf
