I have been talking about buying an Impact Snap for two years now. Since I saw on here it is recommended I will be ordering this week. Tell me if you have one and how it has helped your swing. all the help here is awesome!
I have also used the Tour Strike ball, or as it is commonly called the "torture ball" . I agree with mpandichjr, it can be very humbling. But certainly worth the effort. Good luck with whatever you choose,
I had one but it just didn't do the trick for me. Sounds logical but not having the feel of a club in your hand didn't help me. There are training clubs out there that do the same thing - have a weight on the shaft that falls too quickly if you release early. Besides alignment sticks for checking swing path, etc. I have stuck to just two training aids. The Orange Whip, which is great for tempo and warming up, and the Tour Striker Smart Ball from Martin Chuck. The Smart Ball can be humbling when first using it, but start with small swings. If you can use the Smart Ball with the 2.8 drill, you will be an incredibly good ball striker. Incredibly good.
I also bought it a month ago based on Tom's video and it's been helpful to model the right motions to maintain the position of hands behind the ball at impact (the illusive "cheese wedge") ... the videos that Impact Snap has out there are a good addition to Tom's video. The only thing I would do differently is that the little plastic piece that looks like the face of a club is an extra $25 and has no functional benefit to the tool, so I would pass on that part of the purchase if I were to do it over again. But in summary, the position of the hands in front of the ball at impact is so important, this is one of the few "accessories" that I've ever purchased and I'm glad I did.
Just returned the impact snap, a waste of money, especially at that price. Does not work.
