I have heard from Tom and other experienced Saguto Golfers that ball flight is a key indicator of analyzing your swing progression. I was wondering if any members have any experience with indoor simulators, and whether or not they are good for this purpose. With the colder months around the corner, I wanted to know if I would find the same or similar benefits in regard to monitoring ball flight at an indoor simulator that I would at a range or a course.
Any comments would be appreciated!
@joey puvel I use a skytrak and I'm happy with the data it captures. I know Garmin just release a new unit also. Mevo+ is another. If you want higher end statistics there's a big jump in prices to Trackman, Uneekor and the Foresight products. With that said, I like my SkyTrak . It captures ball spin, ball flight direction and it's pretty accurate. For the price of around $2k it's pretty good and quite popular. If I had $10k to spend I'd get the Uneekor EYE XO
I know @Gerry_Lager has referenced his simulator on occasion, and I'm sure several other members have one as well. Try searching the word "simulator" in the Forum and see who else you might want to tag.
I've heard mixed reviews of the less expensive home version simulators, but if you can go somewhere that has a Trackman or GC quad, they are very accurate and simulate ball flight very well. I used one a few times last winter, and plan to do it on a fairly regular basis this off-season to keep the swing in tune.
