During warmup for my ice-hockey league took a slapshot and took a terrible stinger in my right shoulder. I blame S&T trickling over to hockey! HA! Probably can't swing a club for several weeks I bet! Killing me all the way through the right rhomboid area, barely can turn head, moving like batman. Hate shoulder issues because they radiate everywhere!!
Life loves curve balls. This stuff seems to happen when you are at the high point of motivation for something.
So instead of all the golf vids before logging in for my corporate prison for 8 hours I have been watching all the "Fix your shoulder/back pain vids!"
Anyone else stuck on IR?
Just one question: Is it too late to press? 😄
@Danny thx yup. Totally agree! My wife has this big fat foam roller that I have been laying on similar to rolling the area with a ball and it really gives short term relief but not very long... I think its just inflamed.
I stumbled on this stretch in the vid below this morning and I have to admit it's giving me a lot of relief!
On a side note I swear this looks like a great movement for golfers looking for more shoulder turn!

I can't stress the importance of mobility stretching to overcome an injury quicker.
I use a lacrosse ball to massage the area daily, when I hurt myself, and just take a few minutes every day to move the appendages around the injury. If its sore it's normal recovery but, if it's excruciating you're going for too much or, it's an injury needing medical attention.
Most of all, outside the massage and mobility exercises, give it lots of rest.
I messed up my shoulder pretty good, slamming the club into the ground, earlier this year and did exactly as described for about 4 weeks. Both the shoulder and the swing are in much better shape!

Hockey players are too stubborn for..... but wait I'm a golfer again too now. :P yeah if it persists for sure! Thx Tom
Ugh - So sorry, @RobH - that sounds painful..... 😬 I suppose ice is not quite as forgiving as turf when it comes to taking divots.
Perhaps a good chiro or PT might be able to accelerate your healing process??
