@Tom Saguto Still making progress but do not want to move on until I get the 2.8 drill down cold. As I've mentioned in other posts, still fighting a bit of chop but it's getting better and I'm hitting the ball reasonably well. I mention that because - based upon comments in other posts (from you and learned members) - I think I should spend some more time with the 90% drill.
My question is about a difference in the new video. Previously, you said to have an open stance when doing the drill but the new clip has you just hitting straight away. Is one method preferable to the other?
Thanks in advance for your help!
James
Thanks Tom!
@James Flood - Actually, it was a closed stance in the original version, with the trail foot dropped back a bit in order to encourage the in-to-out path. Try setting up square as per the new version of the drill and see how that works for you. If you're still fighting an over-the-top move you can drop that trail foot back temporarily until you get on the proper path and then incrementally adjust towards a square stance.
