First of all I hope all had a pleasent and enjoyable long unofficial kickoff to the summer weekend.
But hopefully all took some time to remember those who paid the ultimate price for the country we enjoy today. Even with all the crazyness and faults we are experiencing.
Building on remembering, the buttons to sky video again reminded me of some basics after my struggling post. Getting out for a practice round today at home course and session before round at range. Hit the "garange" yesterday after work to get some swings in. Focused on getting away from upper body only swing which seems that I have fell into. Sometimes I wonder if Tom has my palce bugged as right after I realized that might be an issue we get a video of arm vs body swinging!
Anyway, I just focused on takeaway path with getting that left knee pointed and moving in or down and it's amazing how that (at least for me) triggers that shoulder turn and down movement. I also kept the tempo slow, when I did all of the above hit KFC's.
So at the range session today before round, (large bucket) will focus on the knee and turn with slow tempo. I think this is what I need , as a memory came back from the last time I played Myrtle the comments I got was on how slow my takeaway was!
So swing thoughts will be back of ball as usual and takeaway path but just going to make sure as I start the takeaway I get that knee moving towards ball. That seems to get the buttons to sky motion underway. and how effortless the acceleration to the ball strike is.
Going to focus on that throughout practice round, feel this is what I need to do.
Another remembering point, I share things with brother and nephew on east coast and seems like it falls on deaf ears. But actually told me that both went out and bought a Divot Board and been using it and surprised of how off their swing was. So you never know how much you are getting through to people. I found this to be true when preaching the Gospel, but of course one is way more important than the other.
On a geek question here. I noticed sometimes even though I have spell check enabled it doesn't seem to be working, anything I am doing wrong?
Thanks all.
"Buttons to the sky" and have fun out there today, Steven!!
