@chevelle9604 - The typical recommendation is one number higher for hybrids replacing irons. In other words, a 6 Hybrid would yield about the same yardage as a 5 iron. I would just take your yardage when you hit a good 5 iron and go try a 5 and 6 hybrid out to see how it compares. I personally don't like hybrids as they have a draw bias by design. I always hook them.
You could also look into a 9 wood as a replacement. Many pros who carry hybrids are replacing them with higher lofted woods.
