Hi fellow Saguto golfers, wondering if anyone is having to much to much hook on their hybrid, 3 wood, driver? The ball is starting just right of my target line like I want, but ends up at least 10-15 yards over hooking. Not having this issue with my irons just the woods. Any advice? Thanks and keep it crispy.

@jrchambers711 - Once you understand what conditions influence the ball's behavior you'll be well on your way to being able to self-diagnose the issue and figure out the appropriate action - a major stride towards taking ownership of your swing and your game!
Ball flight rules – aka shot shaping - are a function of clubface as it relates to path and target line. Clubface relative to target line dictates the ball's starting line, and face relative to path determines direction and degree of curvature. As you are likely aware the stock shot shape in the Stack and Tilt swing is a push-draw, and it sounds like you are definitely getting there. The Appendix section of the Golf Swing Simplified course has some good information on this. Lesson A1 is a PDF file title “Tom’s Golf Survival Guide”. You can access it here: https://saguto.golf/courses/golf-swing-simplified-tom-saguto-pga/lectures/15017263. There is plenty of information specific to ball flight control and shot shapes beginning on page 15 of this guide. Additionally, the lesson videos B1 and B2 Parts I & II which immediately follow A1 provide much more detail on ball flight. As a golfer becomes proficient with this swing the downswing path will properly be approaching the low point on an inside track, and at this point they will then be on the correct path to take advantage of the S&T “grid”. The grid tells us that if the ball position is behind the low point – which it typically will be to some degree on standard shots for all clubs perhaps with the exception of the driver – then a clubface that is open to the target line but closed to the downswing path will produce some measure of a push-draw.
If I were to guess without seeing your swing, I would say that there's a fair chance it may be related to one of the following: 1) Your clubface on the hybrids and woods may be slightly closed at address (try opening them a couple of degrees and see if anything changes), 2) Your ball position may be just a little too far back in your stance (make minor tweaks and monitor results), 3) Your hands may be a hair too forward at address (again - minor adjustments can have significant effects), or 4) your downswing path is too shallow (check out the lessons/drills related to Downswing Problem #2 in the Fixing Common Swing Problems section of the school).
I hope this helps!
