This really is a great drill to keep right knee and hip from going forward towards the ball….just tried it on the range and had good success as my miss is a big hook mainly caused by that right knee and an excessive in to out path.
Anyone else tried and had success with it or any other drill to get rid of dreaded hooks??
@llydisommma1 - That drill was actually given to me directly by S&T co-founder Andy Plummer during my lesson with him a year ago at the S&T Instructor Camp in Miami. He referred to it as the "bowler", which is the same trail leg action as the skateboard. I needed it for the same reason you stated - an excessively shallow downswing path that was creating huge draws and straight pushes. If interested, here is a video of that entire lesson with Andy. And here is an unedited video of my practice session during which I was working on that move.
Anyway, I'm very glad to know that it is helping you!!
