Hello Tom, Everyone. So I guess it’s time for me to submit a video. I’ve had some wonderful ball striking thanks to Tom Saguto Golf. I’ve been following the curriculum as outlined. Recently I feel lost. Going back to the very basics I began the straight arm drill again and am shanking or push fading/slicing constantly. My grip has been a mess for years and maybe that’s the core of my issues. My trail hand ( lefty here) palm separates from the club. It’s so bad it’s become a trigger. If I force my hand to stay on the grip I feel like I’m holding a knotted oak branch and simply can’t swing. I know I need to post a video to Tom but was just wondering what I can focus on before I do. I’m just lost and could use some help, lol.

First, I think, is for you to get the setup down pat. Practice getting into the correct setup (mirror or camera) over and over until it feels "natural." Don't try swinging until you get the setup down perfect. Just keep practicing it over and over. Watch your grip pressure, should be around 40%. Then, what has helped me (no expert by a country mile) is to mock the swing very slowly just to engrain the movements. I am working on a small card system touching on the swing segment main points to carry with me. Not finished but perhaps it could help you (attached). If you put in the effort, you WILL succeed!
