I haven’t got a driver as I was just too inconsistent so I got fitted for a 3 wood and still I’m all over the shop off the tee!
Bad shot is a pull hook but can easily slice them badly as well. Is anyone else in same predicament?
I know S&T was originally a system based around the driver swing but it’s the one area I struggle with. Irons and short game decent enough.
I play off 10.5 and think if my tee game was more consistent I could easily get single figures.
Anyone else in same boat or was and now driving it like a god?
260?? That's a rather substantial 3 wood, @llydisommma1 ..... 💪💪
Understand your potential, manage your expectations. Patience with the process will subsequently bring it all together...
Have fun out there this evening!
I hit a 260 other day with the 3 wood (one of rare ones before I posted the above) Issue is with consistency The course I play at is a tree lined downland course so have to hit in right spot off the tee or in trouble 👍 Going to go out tonight for a few holes to see how it holds up on course but without sounding like an arrogant idiot I was hitting really good and consistent on range with that hip bump. Much less force and pressure on body during swing as well I found
Watched video, went to range —- wow! That hip bump is a game changer! Hit to do well after making sure I did it at address. Can’t wait to take it course now. Lesson learnt…watch video before commenting in here!
You're not alone in this. Make sure you watch Tom's driver and hybrid / long videos to learn how to tweak your setup. How long have you been working on S&T? I'm about a month and a half in and have yet to feel confident with any club longer than a 7 iron. I'm hitting them reasonably well but it still feels like I'm playing the lottery when I step over them. Based on my success with shorter clubs, I'm sure it will come with time. So, not driving it like a god...yet.
