Played my first round of golf since my accident and had a mixture of good creamy mash potato shots and duff ones. Some of the duff ones were off of a low tee and left a divot but didn't go anywhere. When learning SnT should I just persevere with shots off of the floor?

Hi.
Teeing in general is an advantage.
Thats why you are only allowed to do it once.
Use it but remember that irons need to be hit down.
Don't tee them up to high, just a bit above ground!
Cheers
@JFM - Glad to know that you're back out there!
This is certainly an incremental learning process, but that doesn't mean you can't take an effective "partial swing" out there and have some fun on the course. For inconsistent contact issues, you would do well to stick try Drill 2.8 or the 90% Weight Forward/Arms Straight Drill. In either case it is assumed that you have learned and mastered the course material leading up to these drills. I would begin with a short iron initially, but there is no reason that you should not be able to work your way up towards teed shots with your woods. Patience with the process and with yourself are key.
@JFM Weight shift left, is a key move for consistency. Good habits take time.
