Tom , in one of your videos I seem to remember that a strong grip was better than a weak grip . Is this because a strong grip does not cover the Capitate joint allowing for passive hands in the golf swing ???
A video on this would bd useful .My thanks
Michael
Hi Michael,
I advocate finding one's "natural grip" based on how the hands are rotated as they hang from the shoulders when standing up. This is our body's natural "zero point" which affects where the hands will "want" to return to as they move through the zone. I do personally tend towards a stronger grip based on this, as do most folks. Regardless, I teach gripping the club in the fingers, and as such the joint you are referring to should not be adversely impacted.
Thanks,
Tom
