Good Morning Tom & Sagutoist’s,
I‘ve been working through the steps now for atleast a month and a half now. Spent a lot of time on video 2.8 for awhile & when at the range I start there for about 15 to 20 balls after doing around 10 straight arm feeling chip shots… great drill.
My question to anyone that has had this swing problem I’m having is, can you point me to a particular video/drill for anyone that started getting these tight little fade or sometimes a pull about 5 to 10 yds left?
I noticed when I bring in the full swing around the end of my practice, I’m getting about 5 of 10 that are fadin, but a very tight fade that does end up around 5 yds left to right. I might get about 3 tight draws & 2 pulls out of the 10 total.
There not bad shots at all compared to where I was coming from being an admitted chopper & too much of an arm swinger. I’ve corrected that for the most part with my setup and keep my arms connected and head still.
My thinking is, if I’m able to eliminate this swing mistake I’m making that is causing this tight fade, I’ll probably not pull it very much at all. I’ve noticed that I also tend to pull it or fade it more with longer clubs.
I’d like for the draw to be my main ball flight. I’ve recorded myself many times & I’m definitely not coming over the top anymore, but there’s something making me get this left to right flight.
Any suggestions on a video lesson to help cure this shot pattern. I’ll be going out to the range later today and want to work on it. Then taking it to the course on Sunday morning for some fun.
Would appreciate any suggestions from any of you or Tom… just don’t want to hit a pull shot at all. Definitely not a good shot to hit.
Have a good one guys.
Do you have a grid setup to help check alignment? Small variations in ball position and setup can cause this. You could also move the ball slightly back.
