my lead hand (right) is also my dominant hand; write, throw, tennis, bowling, everything is done with my right except golfing and swinging a bat. The 'skipping the rock' analogy is lost on my left (trail) hand. I've heard way too many opinions on what the ball flight is for the Lefty!!! I hope to find the TRUTH here 😀.

Yep that’s me. I’m a righty but have always swung a bat and golf club lefty. I’m only now beginning to get the right feelings. Right now what seems to be working is relaxing and taking as much tension as I can out of my lead hand (without loosening my grip). And even though the wrist hinge is automatic, I could still feel it happen. So now I’m trying to feel like my trail hand is cupping after the takeaway while it’s going up on the backswing instead. Somehow it seems to put it in a position (or feels like it anyway) to punch through the ball on the downswing.
I have thought about this a lot while working on my swing. I am a lefty in everything except golf . So my less dominant hand is my trail arm. Since the the trail arm action is a throw , I just think of extending my trail arm into the ball. I try to get more power by retracting my left shoulder at impact. The trail arm action is part sidearm and part underarm.
@mynameislo62 - I've tagged you in the threads mentioned in the previous reply. Feel free to converse with @Buford T Ogletree and @michaelgraff1943 here in the forum as they share similar situations. This is not uncommon at all so I'm rather certain that others will surface as well!
