Tom, as an RH golfer, I can make KFC contact and good ball flight, but I am missing the target left about 20 yards on my approach shots. I double-check my alignment but still miss left. What should I also be checking? Thanks!

For me, left shots, for which I have many are caused by swinging on my right side, or taking the club back and finding my weight is on top of, or even on the outside of my trail foot (right foot). This causes my hips to spin-out and hit direct left. Rotation to the top and feeling tilted towards the target at the top of the backswing is my ONLY way out of left shots.
I was also pulling my approach shots. I concentrated on the hip slide/bump towards the target and that helped. The club was going over the top and when you slide towards the target it helps keep the club on plain. check out problem #1 https://saguto.golf/courses/1118971/lectures/24305763
@Mark Shom - I'm going to respond based on the assumption that the ball's starting direction is left of intended. If your shot shape is an overdraw that properly starts right of the target line and curves too much to the left, then that could be a different conversation.
The first - and least invasive - thing I recommend is that you check your ball position at address as it could be too far forward. Try making small tweaks - perhaps moving it back in one-inch increments, monitoring your results by taking multiple swings with each adjustment. (It's very important to use alignment sticks when monitoring ball position - one on the foot line, a second one parallel to the first to mark the target line, and a third perpendicular to these to show ball position.)
If this doesn't help we'll look into other possibilities, but let's start here since it does not entail any changes to your motion.
