For me the trail arm elbow in tight helps with creating LAG which as we know is great for compressing the ball. Also helps with achieving a "High and In" location at the top of backswing. Helps with hitting KFC!
That's fabulous, @Glenn Oneal!! How sad that in "conventional" instruction we are taught to keep our dominant arm quiet during the swing. But now you know why Mr. Hogan said he wished he had three right hands!!
