went out this morning with some retired boys. Beautiful weather at 9am. Sunny, calm and mid 70s in Southern Illinois. Been working on getting off the tee with a bit more distance but more importantly control. Shot my all time best on this course. It's not long but it's a ball eater. about 6 or 7 drives around 250 so makes for a nicer second shot. Took only 1 penalty for a bladed 5i into the water. (still managed par)
Anyway, here's a drill/feel that i took to the course that help me control. The feeling of pulling the lead arm down and swinging the handle, not the club.
oh yeah..broke 80 for the first time ever with a 78. And i've played this course numerous times. ;)
