Good evening all!
I've decided to dive head first into Saguto University, but before I get too deep in, I'd like a baseline critique of where I'm at currently. I'd also love a critique of my set up at address.
I've followed the Saguto method off and on for a while, but just in the last few days I've really been trying to learn the 2.8 drill swing to hopefully take my game to the next level.
I've been focusing really hard on getting my set up just right, and for the swing, I mainly am trying to turn/tilt/extend and then move the whole "unit"
together through impact. The great news is that a good amount of my shots are already making good ground contact(I'm using a divot board in the video but you get the idea). It looks like my head(or should I say spine angle) is moving down.. quite a bit actually. Not sure how big of a deal that is? FWIW I tried a few swings where I tried to extend more to keep my head from dropping, and I swung WAY high.. not too surprising.
Anyway, let me know what you think? I'd love to hear what's good, (more importantly) what's bad and (most importantly) what drills/stuff should be working on in this first phase of learning the 2.8 drill themed swing.
@Julian - Without getting into an analysis here (which I'll save for your V1 Lesson 😎), based on your comment, any head movement up, down, or side-to-side is definitely a big deal. Have a look at this week's YT episode in which I speak specifically about this.
