So I recently was told that i am "turning" my hips and my back swing is way out of sequence. I was always taught that your hips move then chest, then shoulders all as one unit. I was recently informed that its actually shoulders, chest then hips and this next part was most important for me, that the hips don't turn but they move back in and up. Padraig Harrington also teaches exactly this as someone showed me recently from one of his videos.
What do we think here?
Looks to me that you are standing up on the backswing. Could this possibly contribute to variability leading to misshots to the left and right? Most teachers, including Tom stress the importance of keeping the head steady and at the same level throughout the swing.
